How do I check the inventory left in my account for Job postings? On the Home page is the Target Reach Job Posting box where there is a “available inventory” drop down which shows the inventory left in the account to post jobs.

What is the difference between “Job posting summary” and the “detailed description” box? Anything which is the most enticing part about the job can be fed in the Job posting summary box. This summary appears below the job title on the job search results page. However the detailed description box would have all the details about the job posting that includes (job responsibility, skills, team size, reporting, traveling etc.

How do I stop the flow of irrelevant resumes into my mail box? Monster’s “Magic Filter application” can be selected on the Job posting form in order to prevent the irrelevant resumes to flow into the mailbox. This option takes into consideration the matching criteria (excluding location) and accordingly filters the resumes. The option of “Magic Filtered applications with job location match” can be turned on if the applications need to be filtered on the basis of location along with other matching criteria.

What is the function of the Automatch on the Job posting page? Apart from getting applications for the job postings, The Automatch will pick up resumes from the database that match the criteria. Therefore not only do you receive applications but you get resumes from the database as well if the automatch is turned on for the job posting. A maximum of 50 resumes can come through Automatch and this is functional for 48 hours from positing the job.

Are all the fields mandatory while posting jobs on Monster? No, only the fields that are marked with red *are the mandatory ones. Once the mandatory information is provided, job can be made live without filling up the optional information.

Can the company profile be edited while posting the job? The company profile which is on the job posting form can be edited while posting a job.

Would my contact details come up on the Job posting if “reveal contact details” option is selected. No, the contact details would be revealed to the job seeker only on the acknowledgement page after the job seeker has applied for the job.

What is a Screening Questionnaire? Screening Questionnaire is a tool by which job seekers can be asked a set of questions while applying for the job.

Can I only ask closed ended questions to the job seekers using this tool? A maximum of 5 closed ended questions can be asked. Each question can be given a weightage on how important each question is. Apart from these 5 questions an Essay / long answer question can be also asked however this cannot carry any score.

Is the screening tool also a parameter of filtration? Screening tool is not a parameter of filtration but the applications in the manage folders can be sorted in the decreasing order of scores from screening tool.

What happens when a screening questionnaire is turned on while posting a job but not completed? In this case the inventory for job posting gets utilized however the job doesn’t go live. On the Manage job posting page the job is listed as incomplete with 2 options, “make it live without attaching a screening questionnaire” or “attach screening questionnaire”.

For how many days does a job posting remain live? Job postings remain live for 60 days.

How do I edit my live postings? On the Manage postings page are the jobs that have been posted from your account are listed. Select the job that needs to be edited and click on the edit button. This will load the job posting form with all the information which was provided while posting the job. Make changes and click on submit.

How can a job be expired before its expiry date? Select the job posting on the Manage Postings page and click on the Expire button to pull it down from the job seekers interface. Once the job posting expires, it is labeled as “(Expired)”.

Can I duplicate a job? “Copy” tab on manage posting would enable to duplicate the job posting.

What Happens when I rename a folder on the Manage posting page? This will rename the title of the job posting.

Will the resumes also get deleted if I delete a folder? Yes, all the resumes in the folder are deleted when the folder is deleted.

Can I preview the job which has already gone live? live/expired job postings can be previewed on Manage Job postings page. Select the job that you need to preview on the Manage postings page and click on preview.

What is the function of “Download Excel” on the Manage Job postings/Personal folder/Saved search folder’s page? This function would have the entire resume summary downloaded on an excel sheet stored in a particular folder. Select the folder whose resume summary needs to be downloaded and click on the tab “Download Excel”.

How many personal folders can be created in a login id? The re is no limit to the number of folders that can be created.

What are Monster Short cuts? This feature allows to drag and drop the resumes from a folder to sub folders. It also enables intelligent dropdown (auto-fill) in manage folders.

In the Monster account, where would I find the filtered applications? The applications comes in the job posting folder. There is a complete bifurcation between the resumes that matches the criteria’s and the ones which do not. The Matching resumes are saved in the filtered sub folder of a job posting folder where as in the inbox subfolder are the total no of all the applications received for the Job.

Can I search for a particular resume in a Manage job posting folder/personal folder? Resume id of the resume is required in order to search for the resume in the folders (Job posting/personal). Put the résumé id in the “Resume id search” box to search for the resume.

What are the sorting tools available in the folders in Monster? In case of the Job posting folder, the searching tools are Relevance, Date Received & score (in the questionnaire is attached to the job. In a personal folder the sorting tools are Date received and Experience.

Where do I receive the Automatch resumes for a Job posting? Alerts would be sent to the mail id which is put in the job posting form. This alert has the resume title of those resumes which have matched the criteria’s. In the Monster account these automatch resumes are saved in the Automatch sub folder in a Job posting folder.

What is the significance of the saved from database sub folder? Resumes which are saved from the database goes into the saved from database subfolder only.

How many kinds of search interfaces are available in Monster? There are four interfaces of Resume search in Monster: Magic Search: Simplest way to search for resumes. This is a keyword based search and all the keywords for search criteria can be keyed in the magic search box. For Example if the requirement is for Chef from Delhi with 4 years of experience then following can be punched in the magic keywords box: chef, Delhi, 4 yrs. Power Search: An advanced way to search for resumes. This interface has got a large variety of definable parameters that a recruiter would desire for. IT Skill Search: A unique tool to cater to IT needs. This interface gives an access to only IT resumes. Search by Role: A role based search.

Can I use Boolean operator while searching the database? Boolean operators can be used on the Power search page in Any keyword box.

I would like to do a search state wise and not City wise. Is this possible in Monster? Power search page has the feature of performing a search by either selecting a cities or states.

How do I use the keywords parameter on the IT category page? There are 2 keywords drop down boxes for which corresponding experience can be selected. This will allow you to target the jobseekers with specific key skills and the time they have spent working on it. Using this option will filter OUT all those jobseekers with the skill mentioned on their resumes - but not as their primary skill set.

I have bought RDA of SEA, Greater China, India and Gulf. Can I log on to Monsterindia and access the database of all these regions? Yes. the databases of all these countries can be accessed from any one country’s website.

Can I exclude the resumes already viewed in my login? By selecting the option of “Exclude resumes already viewed by me” available on Power search/IT skill search, all viewed resumes can be excluded. (Please note that this is not a real-time update. Resumes viewed within last 24 hrs will be seen with a viewed icon.)

What are “Entire Resume”, “Keyskills”, “Title & Key skills” & “Resume title” on the power search page? The system would search for the keywords punched in the keyword boxes (Any, All & Exclude) depending on the option (“Entire Resume”, “Keyskills”, “Title & Key skills” & “Resume title”) selected.

How many categories/locations can I select on the power search page while performing a search? There is no such limit on the number of categories/location. In fact while performing a search any parameters can be selected depending on the requirement. What you key in is what you get. Perform a broader search by putting less parameters for the first time and once you see relevant resumes on the search results page, then the search can be narrowed down by adding more parameters to it.

Why are certain resumes confidential? The job seekers have an option to post resume in the confidential mode. If a resume is posted in a confidential mode then the Address, name of the present employer, phone, mobile & email id gets hidden in the resume and employer will not be able to see these details in a confidential resume. The employer would have open the resume and send an email to get in touch with the confidential job seeker.

Do we have a provision of mass mailing or bulk mailing in Monster? Monster does provide an option by which bulk mailing can be done. The option is available on the search results page and in all the folders. This option is called the ‘Send Email’ option. A maximum of 40 resumes can be mass mailed at a time. While mass mailing, select the resumes you want to mail the message to, and click on Send Email button. There are 2 steps to be followed in this process. The first step is to save the resumes into a folder. A new folder can be created or an existing folder can be selected to save resumes. The second step is to either create a new message or select an email message that already existing in the Monster account. While creating a new email message, subject, title of the message, message content and the email template title should be provided.

How can I save a search? Once the search is performed you may click on the ‘Save Search’ button on the search results page to save a search.

What is the function of Automatch in saving a search? Enabling the auto-match would keep you updated on the new resumes that are being uploaded on the Monsterindia website that match your saved search criterion. While saving a search you may turn on the option of auto-match and select the frequency at which you would like to receive an alert. An email id also is required where the alerts would come if the auto match is turned on.

How many searches can be saved in an account? 20 searches per license can be saved in a login id.

Why are few saved searches hyperlinked while other saved searches are not? All the saved searches which have their auto-match on would be hyper linked. The new set of resumes that comes through the auto-match comes and sits in the automatch subfolder in a saved search folder. The saved searches which are not hyperlinked have their automatch option turned off and will neither receive alerts nor will new matching resumes on site, be saved in the Automatch folder.

How many letters can be saved in the Monsterindia account? A maximum of 100 letters can be saved in one monster login id.

Can I edit the exisiting letters saved in my Monster account? Yes, the letters can be edited. Please go to Manage letters in Account setting taqb and click on Add/Edit link adjacent to the “Contact Job seekers” option.

Can we set up an auto response letter for the job seekers applying to my job postings? Acknowledgement mail is the option in Manage letters which needs to be activated. This mail is sent automatically to all jobseekers as soon as they apply to your Jobs.

Can we have a reject mail set up? Reject mail can also be setup for the jobseekers whose resumes are rejected or deleted. This option is available on the Manage Letters page.

How do I change my Password? Click on Account Settings – Change my password option in your account. Give the new password and update. You can continue to use the new password from then on.

How can I update my Company Information or Profile? Click on Account Settings – Company profile link in your account. Update the profile page with the changes. This will be reflected in the new job posting form, when you want to post a job.

How does the concept of Super user and sub user work on Monsterindia? A Super User is an additional access give to one of the login ids of a company. Using this feature, the super user can view usage report of the sub users, change the sub user passwords without knowing the current password, modify the company profile and reset the login id.
